Zozimus Bar - Umbrella Icon

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Flying the flag for our colourful personality and charm, our umbrellas have become somewhat of our calling card, giving insight into the vibrant cocktails and characters which await inside. Pronounced Zoz-e-mus, our bar got its name from Irish street rhymer Michael J Moran (1794 – 1846) who was more fondly known as Zozimus. Blinded by illness at just two weeks old, Zozimus made his living reciting poems in his own lively style, many of which he had composed himself.

Creative, lively and with a healthy dose of Irish charm, our bar aims to captivate and entertain like our great namesake once did.

Our Story

Nestled away just off busy South Anne’s Street in Dublin’s city centre, Zozimus’s vibrant energy welcomes you in with their infamous umbrella canopy which leads the way to Dublin’s most creative and enticing cocktail bar. Chic, carefully considered interiors compliment the impressive circular bar which takes pride of place in the centre of this space, allowing an immersive and interactive experience for customers as they see their cocktails come to life.

The atmosphere here is abuzz, sit front and centre as cool cocktails are created by passionate bartenders with a panache for the finer details. Playing a mix of the latest beats and some all-time classics that are guaranteed to get you out of your seat, an evening at Zozimus is an experience to remember. From light bites to sharing a pizza or pasta amongst friends, our menu caters to an array of different tastes.
